But I'm still unhappy that something was changed in our COFF file formats
without us needing to change it or know why it's been changed.

For all I know it's introduced a subtile bug into our stub loader or
v2load code, and we just haven't seen it yet.  

Making it our default, recommended version without someone understanding
what changed and if it's good for us is dangerous.
