Grab the FileUtils 4.1 patched source code from clio. > I get following with 2.04 libc: ....SNIP.... > Applying djgpp_wchar_h to sys/djtypes.h > Cannot open script file for $SHELL: Permission denied (EACCES) > > At this point NTVDM crashes. My gcc, bash, binutils and several GNU > utils (but not everything) are built with 2.04. Is this known > problem on W2K? No. I can build GCC 3.2 on XP without a crash now that I have the updated FileUtils. I have everything built with 2.04 and as such I would try re-building all the rest of the required files with 2.04 and try again. BTW here are my ansi.sys and autoexec.bat that I use: ansi.sys:- NTCMDPROMPT #dosonly device=%systemroot%\system32\ansi.sys device=%SystemRoot%\system32\himem.sys files=40 dos=high, umb autoexec.nt @echo off lh %SystemRoot%\system32\mscdexnt.exe lh %SystemRoot%\system32\redir lh %SystemRoot%\system32\dosx SET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 P330 T3
