Is it because people don't > have enough time to review the patches? Sadly, yes. Alexander posted his code in several revisions here, at least 3 times over the last 2 years. It's our fault that this code is not yet in CVS; reviewing it is still on my todo (but don't let that prevent you from reviewing it yourself ;-). Releasing the code as a library is a good move, IMHO. It at least lets users use the code if they need it.
