Two months out of warranty, of course. Backups are not current, and the software to even search backups was on the dead drive (sigh) - so expect more delays from the lord of infeasible schedules. The drive will spin up for a short time if stored in the freezer, so I may be able to recover it. Slowly. But I didn't even get to look at it until yesterday, since the internet router also died and it was a higher priority.
