We all are busy people, and reviewing a non-trivial change in a library function of such importance is something that cannot be done without sufficient free time. That's why contributors are encouraged to make changes that don't modify existing algorithms and data structures too much: such changes have better chances of being reviewed quickly. This has nothing to do with NIH. I appreciate your efforts, as I'm sure everyone else here does. Thanks!
