Does it mean > we should now use www.simtel.net instead of the direct ftp URLs we used > to use until now? Here's what I'm going to do: * When referring to a specific mirror, by all means refer to that mirror directly. * When referring to a single file, use the www.simtel.net urls (start at www.simtel.net and navigate, they're only two clicks away). For example, http://www.simtel.net/gnudlpage.php?product=/gnu/djgpp/v2/djdev203.zip&name=djdev203.zip This brings you to a list of mirrors, with each link linking to that specific file on that mirror. Pretty handy. * When referring to the djgpp collection in general, refer to http://www.simtel.net/ The zip picker won't change. I think I can't change it and still have it be as convenient as it is. > For example, should section 4.1 of the FAQ be rewritten to point to > a single URL www.simtel.net? I would keep the full list there, but replace ftp.simtel.net at the top with www.simtel.net. Note; it's not a set of machines any more, it's down to one, but if you go through the www.simtel.net site they link to all the mirrors anyway.
