Now what I wanted to know is whether it is acceptable to base a DJGPP package on development sources (i.e. on the latest CVS-based tree), or whether they should always be based on an official release. Also, is it acceptable to merge in unofficial patches (such as the 'edit -c' patch that is used by CVSNT)? My guess is that it is probably ok, as long as it is tested and has been proven stable, but if anyone has moral objections, feel free to set me straight.
