Mark E., what did you use to decide that the enhanced version > you posted to the list had errors? Well, I've only done limited testing on the enhanced fcntl and that testing was some time ago. I used a program to list what handles it inherited so I could tell if the inheritance part worked. The locking code I just traced with RHIDE. Mark
