I'm just uploading alpha 2 of the Fileutils port. I've made packages this time, available here: http://www.phekda.freeserve.co.uk/richdawe/djgpp/fileutils/ The readme files are there - I recommend reading readme.dos and readme.alpha before using the port. This port should have the same level of features as the previous port. I haven't tested 'dd' yet, but I applied the previous port's changes, so it should behave identically. I noticed some regressions in the test-suite on my machine, but I suspect that's because I shifted from Windows '95 OSR 2.1 with multiple partitions to Windows 98 SE with one. The test-suite is pretty broken anyway, because it makes lots of assumptions about a Unix environment. I've fixed most of the "easy" cases, but I haven't tried with the others yet. The source currently doesn't build with short filenames (SFN). I have not tried Fileutils much with SFN. I will address this in the next release (beta 1, probably). Please let me know how you get on with the port, any problems, etc. Thanks, bye, -- Richard Dawe [ mailto:richdawe AT bigfoot DOT com | http://www.bigfoot.com/~richdawe/ ]
