I got it. "ld --verbose | grep end" does indeed show end as a
symbol. It also shows _end. Would substituting _end for end in
dpmiexcp do the trick? Or would the removal of end from the djgpp.djl
be necessary? And if so would that break everything. (I'll go and try
it out tonight.)
