In this way you can get access to all the magazines (published after > 1995). There is no way to convert pdf files to html without losing too much > information. But as Eli says: why somebody will need it if Acroread is free and > available for most platforms? (I have it in my Linux box, is a must for people > working in electronics, all the datasheets are in pdf format). > > About the letter: They just want to charge you according to the number of people > that will have access to the material. I'm not sure I follow you guys. The aim is to provide the std for *all* the djgpp-workers so they can peek at the stds when need it. I don't see what is the gain by giving it to a few(2/3) individuals, this is the current situation, we are not improving anything, unless you want to buy for 50 persons. ?? And PDF truly sucks, have you ever try to work with a 300 pages document in acroread .. pfff ... not very partical for day-to-day use. PDF may be great for printing but not to stare blindly all day and hitting pgUp/pgDn. In counterpart, the Unix98 (Solo) is wonderfull, full index listing of the all the functions, just click. Great navigation and good use of the browser nothing fancy. -- au revoir, alain ---- Aussi haut que l'on soit assis, on est toujours assis que sur son cul !!!
