Yes, I did run configure.bat from the djgpp directory. I seemed to experience the same problems when I tried to run 'sh Configure' in the Perl root directory. > - Did you use plain dos or win9x? Win95, with long filenames enabled. > - What version of bash do you have? I have bash 1.14.7, although I was running configure.bat from the normal MS-DOS command prompt. > - (What version of djdev do you use? Be careful, djdev202 will > not work correctly with Perl < 5.5005_03.) I'm using djdev201, although I can use djdev202 too. I tried compiling Perl 5.004 and 5.005, but both crashed at the same point - just after the Xenix detection code in Configure. Sorry, I should have mentioned this stuff before :( I followed the other instructions - copy/link bash.exe to sh.exe, set SHELL in djgpp.env. -- ============================================================================== Rich Dawe - 4th-year MSci Physicist @ Bristol University, UK richdawe AT bigfoot DOT com, http://www.bigfoot.com/~richdawe/ ==============================================================================
