The latest two alphas include an entirely different version of libm.a (in
particular all the assembly functions were rewritten in C).  Preliminary
testing shows that the quality of the library is much better in this new
version, but some singular cases might still lurk. 

Please try to debug these specific cases and tell what you find out.
