IMHO proper core file support (if any) should :be an optional extra, possibly enabled by the environment or the :programmer. Unless GDB can read them I don't expect many people :would be interested in it though. Errh. Nice that someone agrees. Of course, if the core can't be used to help debugging, then it's useless. Being a Unix user, it is inconcievable that the core wouldn't be of use to gdb. Is that so? Right, MartinS
