A given file can only have one copyright, effective on its date of
publication.  I use a program to scan all source files before a
release and update all the copyright lines to the year of their last
modification time.

Please do not put multiple copyright lines in files; especially the
standard ones that I use.  Also be careful not to change the format or
syntax of that first line, or my program won't be able to update it.
