It worked fine up to the 25th subdirectory, starting from the NW _real_root dir of the netware volumes, so this is a limitation of Netware. I cross checked this by issuing the commands MAP ROOT L:=i:\demmer\a\b\c\d\e\f\g\h\i\j\k\l\m\n\o\p\q\r\s\t\u\v\w MD L:X and the MD failed. Martin's version caught the error and reported doserr=3, errno=22. Digging my red books I found that there is a settable parameter for the maximum directory depth that must be in the range of 10-100. As I do not set it anywhere, 25 must be the default. This can cause trouble, if a SysOp decides to put up a deep directory structure, but this is not a DJGPP problem, but all programs will suffer from that.
