The patches were not in the 970808 snapshot for 2.7.2.3.  At least the
ones to support stabs and to properly output the original file name into
the assembly.  Thats why I brought it up.   They have been accepted into
the 2.7.2 snapshots for as long as I have been working on them, maybe back to 
april or so.
