I would recommend to include `_rename' patch, or else people will have some nasty file overwrites on Windows 95, especially when using Emacs or GNU Fileutils. The patch is tested fairly well, I think (that's why I didn't mail it right away). The current version of `stat' causes some stupid failures in `rm'. If you say e.g. "rm *~" in directory with no matching files, you get an error message saying "*~ is a directory" (huh?).
