I don't know why, but I have checked it. I found two versions with different
size:

on ftp.rrz.uni-koeln.de

binutils-2.7.tar.gz   4480026     Thu Jul 18 20:25:47 1996

on ftp.tu-chemnitz.de

binutils-2.7.tar.gz   4480163     Tue Oct  1 17:21:00 1996

I made a 'diff -urN' but there were no diffs.
