Date: Wed, 2 Oct 1996 12:41:35 +0200 (METDST) From: Robert Hoehne To: DJGPP workers Subject: Patch for bnu27s.zip to support aout format Message-Id: Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Here is the patch for the binutils 2.7. It allows the support for the aout format. And there is also a very little but very important patch for the opcodes lib. Currently this library was not able to disassemble somthing, because I forgot to give the architecture define. (That means, none of the binutils could use the --disassmemble switch). This is the same problem with the opcodes lib in the gdb 4.16 sources, but I have loocked in the sources and saw, that gdb calls directly the i386 disassembler, so there is no need for fixing it. *** gnu/binutl-2.7/bfd/aout-tar.h~ Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 --- gnu/binutl-2.7/bfd/aout-tar.h Thu Jul 4 16:17:32 1996 *************** *** 0 **** --- 1,607 ---- + /* Define a target vector and some small routines for a variant of a.out. + Copyright (C) 1990, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 1996 Free Software Foundation, Inc. + + This file is part of BFD, the Binary File Descriptor library. + + This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify + it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by + the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 of the License, or + (at your option) any later version. + + This program is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, + but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of + MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
