For now I'm building them without international support, but it would be a pity to lose this feature if it is useful on MSDOS, because it seems to be easily portable to DJGPP (as far as I saw). What I cannot easily figure out is this: are the ASCII codes of the characters the same on Unix and MSDOS, at least for European languages? If not, then I'd rather not mess with this now, because I don't know enough about it and don't have European support installed anywhere nearby to play with it. So could anybody of the European guys (Morten? Robert?) please look into this and tell me if the character codes are the same? The easiest way is to look at the message files inside the latest Textutils 1.19 and see whether you see your native letters in the file (e.g., for German text) `de.po' in the po/ subdirectory.
