Message-Id: <200004201421.KAA19233@delorie.com> Date: Thu, 20 Apr 2000 11:21:07 -0400 (EDT) From: Eli Zaretskii To: djgpp-announce AT delorie DOT com Subject: djtzs203.zip and djtzn203.zip updated Reply-To: djgpp AT delorie DOT com The files djtzs203.zip and djtzn203.zip in the v2 directory on SimTel.NET have been updated. As you might remember, a few days ago, a user reported on comp.os.msdos.djgpp that the timezone files in djtzn203.zip were broken. Further investigation revealed that generating these files in the cross-development environment set up on DJ Delorie's machine to release DJGPP always produces such broken timezone files, due to differences in representing time values by the time_t data type between the host OS and the DJGPP library. To fix this problem ASAP, the file djtzn203.zip on SimTel was replaced with a version produced in a native DJGPP environment. In addition, the timezone files were produced from the latest time-zone database available from the elsie.nci.nih.gov site. The current upload replaces djtzs203.zip to bring it into sync with djtzn203.zip. The new djtzs203.zip has all the timezone-related files replaced with the same new versions which were used to produce djtzn203.zip. In addition, both of these files now have the *.dsm files as part of the distribution (these files are used by the zippo package manager that's being developed for DJGPP). The addition of djtzn203.dsm is the only change in djtzn203.zip compared to the last upload a few days ago. Once again, I apologize for this bug. Please direct any further discussions related to this upload to the comp.os.msdos.djgpp news group (or write to djgpp AT delorie DOT com, which is an email gateway to that group).
