The command-line options are deliberately very similar to those of GNU gzip, but they are not identical. There are 3 archives: bz2095db.zip: binaries of bzip2. Library: libbz2.a, bzlib.h. Programs: bzip2.exe, bunzip2.exe, bzcat.exe, bzip2recover.exe Docs: bzip2.info, bzip2.1 bz2095dd.zip: Docs in different formats (texinfo, info, man, ps, HTML, txt). bz2095ds.zip: Sources of bzip2 0.9.5d for DJGPP. which are available from DJGPP distribution in Simtelnet (and mirror sites) in directory v2apps: ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/gnu/djgpp/v2apps For information about bzip2 see http://sourceware.cygnus.com/bzip2/ Install the archive(s) like any other DJGPP package described in the DJGPP FAQ, which means, copy them to any location on your HD, let's say to c:/tmp, change to your root DJGPP directory, let's say to c:/djgpp, and unzip there the archive preserving the directory structure. After that PLEASE READ the file: readme.dos which will be located then in the directory gnu/bzip2-0.95d/ which will describe more details.
