(The binary distribution comes with English dictionary only, but the README file explains how to get hold of other dictionaries.) The bugs that this release corrects are only significant to some people. Here's the list of corrected bugs: 1) Ispell would behave incorrectly when invoked on read-only files. 2) It was not possible to use the pre-compiled ispell.exe with non-English languages which use all of the 8 bits in the character codes. 3) Ispell would leave an empty spelled output on some systems. (Many thanks to John R. Velman , for helping me debug this problem.) If you are not bothered by any of the above problems, you can continue using the previous port. If you do upgrade, please be sure to install the dictionary that comes with this binary distribution as well, since the dictionary in the previous port is incompatible (due to the 8-bit issue).
