Thank you for the hints and suggestions. I was reading an article that said that it is expected that the virus threats would increase in 2015 a lot over 2014 and I thought I would have to do something to protect me.

But I also find that my hard disk is full and I could afford a faster PC now. On the other hand I want to continue to develop programs for djgpp. So I thought I ask in this group what others did in this probably rather common situation.
