I didn't use Allegro excepting the music, but Shawn Hargreaves tutorials ab=
out VESA and so=A0; they are great, ... also the palette managing is explai=
ned there ... what I couldn't use fine is the last and better graphics syst=
em : VBE, that is hundred times faster than VESA

I got the fdfullcd.iso file from Internet .... can I install FreeDOS with i=
t? when I double click on it, Nero is started asking for a CD

I booted a floppy in my USB floppy drive. You could also install to HD
(unlikely), try DOSEMU in Linux, boot from CD, or (probably preferred)
use UNetBootIn for USB stick ( http://unetbootin.sf.net ).

Doubt it, but who knows. It does handle some things differently,
