It's also possible that windows is just = being=20 windows... NTVDM is the 16-bit emulator. It has many  issues = on=20 XP.

Im using the djgpp gcc for=20 preprocessing c files before I load them to my parser. This = usually works=20 great but suddenly it takes along time before
something happens after I = issue the=20 command.
If I run gcc -E -P file.c = from the=20 cmd.exe it takes at least 40 seconds before the output from gcc = prints to=20 the screen. Last week this was instantaneous.
It only happens for the = first file I=20 try to run. Same thing when I try to run go32-v2.exe. First time = really=20 snow, after that instantaneous.
Any ideas of what is=20 wrong?
 
go32 gives me this=20 output:
