Only if the precision is indeed modified in mid-flight.  If the
culprit modifies it globally, that would mean every run of the program
sees the same environment, but only on those platforms the culprit is
installed and running.  VShield would fall into that category, because
it's a background scanner, so it usually runs all the time.
