You are probably right, but the whole thing started when I was
using the HTML documentation and noticed the beforementioned
discrepancy. At that time I thought that the HTML version must
be outdated, because it contained an unsupported function, but
DJ Delorie told me that it was the exact opposite.

Eli Zaretzkii has pointed out a HTML version on the FTP sites
which seems to match the 'libc.info' file which comes together
with the DJGPP package.

My questions have been answered by this forum and I'll know
what to expect from whatever libc documentation I will
choose to use as a reference.
