As far as DOS goes, until MS decides to go to a Unix based command line, it's likely that the MS command line will be based on DOS syntax. For DOS as a stand-alone OS, it's pretty much become a fringe OS. There's the FreeDOS project, which will keep DOS support going for a while, and I there are probably a lot of businesses out there that still use DOS based applications -- where the Y2k bug was either fixed, or just didn't apply. ---------------------------------------- Thanks, MCheu
