I don't exactly know, but I'd be *very* surprised if it did.  Linux
won't let you do any timed delay shorter than its 100 Hz = 10 ms timer
tick in user-level code.  For anything shorter, you have to be in
kernel land or use a calibrated delay loop (--> bogomips).
