I guess I wasn't clear. I did a hard format on my HDD. Wrote 0s or 1s or whatever it does and totally wiped it clean. Re-installed Windows2000 using NTFS and re-downloaded the files from the site the DJGPP zip picker sent me to. (new hampshire i believe, but the same one I'd used before). Now when I try to unzip the files they say there is a CRC error.. and I notice the extracted files are 1 byte larger then they are suppose to be. (With winzip you can "catch" the bad file if you do an extract all and move it to a new file before Winzip deletes it for being bad.) I tried using the dos only pkunzip, winzip, and unzip32.exe that comes from the djgpp site and teh same error occurred on the same exact files. I then erased everything and re-downloaded the files once again with the same result. So I'm not sure what the problem could be. Tony
