Yeah, I thought that might be the answer, find the read or fread routine, and re-write it to include the new linear frame buffer selector. Although, thinking about it, since DJGPP is PM, and lets you play with megs of memory, it's probably just faster to have two routines. One, to store the bmp image into memory, then, one to display the image from the buffer.
