Message-Id: <200108301305.JAA19844@delorie.com> Date: Thu, 30 Aug 2001 12:17:01 +0200 From: Maurice Lombardi User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; fr-FR; m18) Gecko/20010131 Netscape6/6.01 X-Accept-Language: fr,it,en To: djgpp-announce AT delorie DOT com Subject: ANNOUNCE: gpc2953 uploaded to simtelnet Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed Reply-To: djgpp AT delorie DOT com This is to announce that the djgpp port of the GNU pascal compiler (gpc) 20010623 corresponding to gcc-2.95.3 has been uploaded to simtelnet. Gpc is now compiled as a member of the Gnu Compiler Collection (gcc). In each case the files that the corresponding version of gcc puts into the directory %DJDIR%\lib\gcc-lib\djgpp\ must be present. To stress this fact gpc is now labelled by gcc version number (gpc2953b.zip) instead of by gpc version number (gpc20bb.zip), like is the previous version uploaded to simtelnet (which corresponded to gcc2952). To use the gpc compiler you need only the binary archive v2gnu/gpc2953b.zip Unzip it into the djgpp tree in the usual way (keeping directory structure) and read the file %DJDIR%\gnu\gcc-2.953\gcc\p\readme.djgpp which explains auxiliary steps to do. If you want to recompile gpc you need the sources v2gnu/gpc2953s.zip It unzips into the directory %DJDIR%\build read the file readme.gpc to proceed. All the hacking necessary to compile gpc with gcc2953 has been done by Andris Pavenis. The only changes included in the present distribution have been to take into account that some of the changes he has done have been included into the original gpc sources. -- Maurice Lombardi Laboratoire de Spectrometrie Physique, Universite Joseph Fourier de Grenoble, BP87 38402 Saint Martin d'Heres Cedex FRANCE Tel: 33 (0)4 76 51 47 51 Fax: 33 (0)4 76 51 45 44 mailto:Maurice DOT Lombardi AT ujf-grenoble DOT fr
