Except for some standalone programs, in the NetPbm binary distribution all programs are symlinks to p?mmerge, so they don't vaste disk space. I can produce a 8.3 clean binary distribution, but the actual NetPbm maintainer is releasing very fast, so I prefer by now don't lose the compatibility. M.Alvarez
