I wonder how you could have read all the FAQs and still not found the
README.1st, and followed its instructions...

What you have here is an installation error.

This means that the directory with gcc.exe in it is not in your %PATH%
environment variable, for some reason. And the environ.lst agrees with
that:

> PATH=C:\WINNT\system32;C:\WINNT

Try the following, in a command prompt window:

	set PATH=C:\DJGPP\BIN;%PATH%
	gcc -v

this should run gcc and display its version. For instruction how to
make this change to %PATH% active permanently (or at least whenever
you click on a certain icon on your desktop to start a "DJGPP
session"), see README.1st.
