You're right that some version of libm was merged into libc (around the time of DJGPP 2.0, IIRC). *But* there is another, much more solid libm part of the DJGPP installation, and *that's* the one you should be looking at if you're doing any serious maths work, including any situation where you have to deal with NaN's.
