Sorry, I was working on two posts at the same time, both programming
related...

I'm using Windows 2000. Using DOS on the development platform is
unfortunately not practical - a second DOS system may be possible in a few
months, but only if the spftware performs acceptably.

"rhide". Also tried "rhide -m" to disable the mouse (although it doesn't
appear to matter with recent versions).

DJDIR has been removed.

I have checked readme.1st again, and I still can't see any deviation from
what it contains.

Rhide -E btw, includes things like RHIDE_PATH_SEPARATOR_DJGPP=; which would
tend to indicate environment variables are being set.

So, it appears the problem may not be related to environment variables.
