The entire installation directions are (besides setting path arguements): "To install mingw, choose the distribution you want, either mingw using crtdll.dll or mingw using mscvrt.dll. Download the distribution. Unzip it. (Zip/unzip utilities are available from ftp://ftp.freesoftware.com/pub/infozip/.) If the bin directory that holds mingw executables isn't already in your path, add it. That's it. " Sounds easy, right? There are 6 completely different packages on the sourceforge site they give, each with about 3 versions downloadable. The dates and the version numbers don't match, so it's difficult to tell what versions match which. Installing all 6 of the latest non-beta packages and trying to compile the most basic c program (noting that they don't say specifically the preffered compilation flags) creates an error in as.exe. *Sigh* Oh well. -- --------------------------------- Visit http://www.landoflyrics.com, if you like to sing along, or just don't know what the #*@^ they're saying.
