Those aren't extensions.  Those are features of older versions of the
C++ language, and all can be worked around or turned off in GNU C++.

Anything starting with two underlines __ is bound to be compiler-
specific according to the ANSI specifications.  MinGW may have its own
way of doing those; RTFM.
