Compile your programs from the command line, not from RHIDE or Make.  
Then it should work.  This is inconvenient (so please bug Microsoft!), 
but at least it lets you develop programs.

As far as testing shows, W2K doesn't endure more than 2 levels of nested 
DJGPP programs.
