I would like to know if there is anyone else out there who uses PMODE/DJ and Allegro at the same time to make programs. I need help, just some clear explanation would do. I followed the instructions for linking pmodstub.exe to the coff image generated by gcc. I linked it with the excustom.c example Allegro program. When I first ran it on a plain x386 machine with MS-DOS, it crashed with a SIGNOFP (no floating-point coprocessor). The machine I tested it on doesn't have a math coprocessor. So I checked the code for excustom.c and found that it only uses fixed-point math routines in Allegro. Should be no problem here. When I linked the program with floating-point emulation library, I had no problem running it. I would like to know whether PMODE/DJ uses the floating point coprocessor to function properly and thus requires one to be present. So, who's responsible for the SIGNOFP? Was it Allegro or pmodstub.exe? I would also like to know, if I want to use a compressor like UPX, do I really need to pad the executable to fit into a 512 byte boundary? Help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. ---------------- _nimrod_a_abing_ ------------------------------------------ Homepage: http://www.geocities.com/n_abing ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
