However, I've just flicked through a book in a cheap shop which supplys 'Borland C++ Builder' software and explains how to use it as well as a rudimentary course on C++. It seemed to me to be much easier to use this software to create Windows programs which have GUI boxes, forms, windows, icons, etc. My current book doesn't explain any of that, and the programs I create are executed in a plain old DOS box. Can anyone tell me the advantages and disadvantages of using Borland (I don't even know what this is; a langauge or a company?), and if I can easily create Windows GUI's using DJGPP? Thanks. Phil.
