In Microsoft's own words, Win32 is a platform (or, rather, a collection of platforms) - hence the platform SDK, etc. Whether you accept that is another question... So, on the basis Win32 is a platform, you can implement the Win32 API, i.e. as in Wine. But if you implement a Win32 platform you get Windows '95, Windows NT, Windows 2000. > You lose, Grendel. Why?
