You need to lock _everything_ that will be accessed during interrupt processing. This includes code and data. So if the pointer is dereferenced by the handler, you need to lock the data it points to. If the pointer is only accessed for pointer arithmetics and such likes, then only the pointer itself should be locked. PS: Please don't post in HTML.
