There are public NNTP servers with very complete feeds, if your ISP's feed sucks - a list of some is here: http://userwww.econ.hvu.nl/~pverweij/freenet.html Although for people behind a proxy/firewall who can't use NNTP this doesn't help much. Even so, I would have thought dejanews was easier than using a mailing list.
