Btw, the distribution will not unzip cleanly on DOS, it has some file
names which are not allowed unless LFN is supported.

Under the man subdirectory, like the other ports do.  See the value of
MANPATH in DJGPP.ENV.

Are you sure you looked at the simtel-uploads page recently, btw?  The 
one I'm looking at now does mention the man/ subdirectory.

You need to set LFN=n before running makeinfo.  Then it will do so
automatically.  (Or just boot into plain DOS, if you have a dual-boot 
system set up.)
