That's only true if you don't play with interrupts nor hardware nor video. So
I agree if you are talking about most GNU tools, but disagree if you include
Allegro aplications ;-)
A technical note: At least in Win 3.1 (and I think W9x is included for
compatibility) Windows applications shares the LDT so you can easilly use a
descriptor that belongs to other application ... ouch!
