Yes, it does support namespaces. You need a recent version of gcc
- probably 2.95. I think 2.95.2 is the latest.

gcc is slightly non-standard with namespaces. If it can't resolve
a reference to a name in the global namespace, it automatically
looks in the std namespace. You can usually get away with using a
line like:
    cout << "blah" << endl;
when you should strictly have written
    std::cout << "blah" << std::endl;
and this might cause problems when porting to other compilers. OF
course, this second version also works in gcc/djgpp.
