I have to reset my computer. Could it be the DPMI stuff? I've gotten it to work in a way. Edit the file, save it, and compile in another cmd window. That compile session seems to do something illegal from time to time. Dr. Watson (or similar) pops up. What is the preferred way to develop a DOS application with DJGPP? Is there a suitable UI for windows? In plain dos, some of the header files will be shortened. Say, streambuf.h is 9 letters + 3. What do I have to do? Yes, I am a newbie to DJGPP. But so far I like this stuff. kjell arne haugland
